Early invitation letter for competitors
Competitors from some countries need visas to enter the Netherlands. On the website of Netherlands Worldwide you can check if you need a visa for your situation (https://www.netherlandsworldwide.nl/visa-the-netherlands/visa-required). Using a letter of invitation, it is easier to obtain a visa. Every participant can get one after registration, however in earlier years for some teams it has been a problem to get an appointment with their embassy in time. For this reason, for RoboCup 2024 some teams can get a letter of invitation before registration under specific conditions. Teams from the major leagues can fill out the request form below for up to 6 team members to request invitation letters. Each member needs to prove that they have attended at least two out of 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023 RoboCup in-person to receive a letter. This proof is preferable in the form of a registration invoice, however multiple means of proof are possible and we encourage you to provide us with as much proof as possible.

Early invitation letter for symposium participants
For symposium participants there are two requirements for requesting an early invitation letters.

We aim to start sending out letters at the start of February and respond to every request within 2 weeks. However, if we get too many requests, we might need a little more time. Keep an eye on this page for updates on the timing.

Absolutely! Please do not fill out the form, your league will be contacted by the LOC to see who needs a letter.
You only need a letter if you need to have a visa to travel to The Netherlands. Check this here: https://www.netherlandsworldwide.nl/visa-the-netherlands/visa-required. Even then, such a letter is optional, and just makes it easier to get issued a visa.
We want to be sure that we only send early initiation letters to people that actually intend to participate in RoboCup 2024. We judge this (partially) by the proof you submit.
